Future OLAT Development: Roadmap

The following roadmap shows the planned new OLAT features for 2010/2011 (with reservation).
The logo shows if the feature is developed by the University of Zurich , by frentix or by Bildungsportal Sachsen (BPS) .

Release 7.0.x (Public Release: September 21th, 2010)

  • course wizard to create a simple, preconfigured course
  • REST API (beta)
  • QTI 2.1 engines (ONYX)
  • Various Component Improvements: Task, Calendar, Topic assignment, context sensitive help
  • Refactoring of depricated forms using "Flexi Form" infrastructure part III
  • Various Component Improvements: Single Page Course Element, Full-text Search
  • Mail attachments in user visiting card, group and course contact form
  • WebDAV password for users authenticating with Shibboleth
  • Resize option for large images during upload
  • External Tools Building Block (IMS LTI)
  • Improvements in LDAP module for syncing of large LDAP directories and OLAT cluster operating
  • Browser side caching of course media resources to reduce network load
