Agile

agile process cycleWhat makes our product development and service delivery so agile?

Agility is all about iterative development and incremental delivery. Equally important is involving our stakeholders at every stage of our work. OLAT has adopted the DSDM agile project management framework and employs traditional agile development techniques drawn from Scrum, XP and other methodologies to create a unqiue working environment and culture built on mutual trust and respect. This is complemented within operations by our application of lean methodologies based on Kanban and Kaizen that ensure focused and efficient delivery of quality services.

Projects are broken down into iterations during which we plan our work together with our stakeholders. Each day begins with a standup meeting where all project members discuss the daily goals. At the end of each iteration we all meet together to review our progress in a demonstration and talk about any issues that arose during the iteration in a retrospective. This continual focus on feedback, embracing the concerns of all involved, helps us to quickly identify issues and put improvements into place for the next iteration or project.

Project deliverables are released as increments allowing us to manage risk very effectively and to deliver high value quickly to our users! Our operational environment embraces continual quality improvement that enables us to ensure sustainability of our high levels of service and support.
